What is an FTD?

An FTD (first-time depositor) is a player who makes their first real-money deposit with a brand after arriving through affiliate tracking. On CPA deals, you are usually paid for a qualified FTD — a first deposit that also meets that advertiser’s minimums, activity, GEO and fraud rules. Registration alone, or a deposit that fails those checks, is typically not payable.

Registration creates an account. An FTD deposits for the first time. A qualified FTD also meets advertiser-specific conditions such as minimum deposit amount, wagering, verification or fraud checks.

Dashboards may show registrations, FTDs, pending conversions and approved conversions separately. A visible FTD can still sit pending until qualification completes. Rejected events should be investigated with source and GEO context.
